Industrial-Grade GSW Vitrified Sewer Pipe

The GSW (Glazed Stoneware) Pipes shown are high-density vitrified clay conduits, salt-glazed at temperatures exceeding 1100°C to create a chemically inert, non-porous interior. Technically, they feature a robust socket and spigot (S&S) joint complying with IS 651:2007 standards , ensuring high crushing strength for deep-earth burial without deformation. These pipes are primarily utilized in municipal sewerage networks, industrial effluent disposal, and household drainage systems due to their 100-year service life and immunity to corrosion . They are available in standard internal diameters of 100mm, 150mm, 200mm, 230mm, 300mm, and 450mm.

Heavy-Duty Vitrified Clay Sewer Pipe

This is a Salt-Glazed Stoneware Pipe, a heavy-duty ceramic conduit manufactured from vitrified clay and fired at 1100°C to achieve a non-porous, acid-resistant finish. Installation Note (IS 4127): Minimum earth cover of 90cm is mandatory for pipes under roads. Jointing requires tarred gasket followed by 1:1 cement-sand mortar.

4. Installation Guidelines

Jointing Compound

Tarred Gasket/Hemp soaked in 1:1 Cement-Sand Mortar slurry.

Trenching

Width = Pipe O.D. + 300mm. Minimum cover 0.9m under traffic areas.

Bedding

Sand bedding for stable soil; Lean concrete (1:5:10) for soft/clay soil.
